How do I know if my case is viable?
Every case is different so it’s usually necessary to examine the details before making that determination. Our office offers a free consultation for all personal injury victims in order to review the facts to determine viability.
What will it cost me to hire a lawyer for my personal injury case?
Like most personal injury lawyers, we work on a contingency basis. This means that you don’t pay until the case is settled. At that point, you will pay your lawyer a percentage of the money awarded to you. If we don’t win, you don’t pay.
How long will it take to settle my case?
In cases of serious injury, there are many factors that impact the time it takes to reach a settlement. Developing the case and filing the appropriate papers can take several months. After that, it may take a while for the case to make it to trial or be settled out of court. A good rule of thumb is to expect at least a year from filing to settlement.
How much can I expect to receive for my injuries?
How much compensation you receive will depend on the scope of the financial loss caused by the injury. For example, if you can no longer work, you’re likely to be awarded more money than someone who will miss just of month or two of employment. If your particular injury will result in the need for ongoing, specialized care, you’ll receive more money than someone has incurred only minimal medical expenses.
